Central Institute of Fisheries Technology Jobs – Kerala

 WALK-IN-INTERVIEW
                                Eligible candidates are invited to attend a walk-in-Interview with all relevant documents for 3 (three) position ofSr. Research Fellows (on contractual basis) and 1(one) post of Technical Assistant (on contractual basis) to work in the project “Techno-economic feasibility of coconut wood canoes for small scale fisheries sector in the south west coast of India and Lakshadweep” funded by the Coconut Development Board at the CIFT, Cochin.   The duration of the project is three years.
1.       Senior  Research Fellow – 2 posts
Fellowship    :   Rs. 16,000/- pm (consolidated) + 20 % HRA
Qualification: Master in Wood Science/ Wood Technology/Forestry/Industrial Fisheries/ Fisheries/Marine Biology.
     Desirable     :     Experience in the field of fisheries, wood preservation.
2.       Senior Research Fellow (1post)
Fellowship:      Rs. 16,000/- pm (consolidated) + 20 % HRA
Qualification: Masters in Agriculture Economics/Fisheries Economics/Economics
     Desirable :    Experience in the field of fisheries/agriculture/plantations, field survey; statistical analysis.
3.       Technical Assistant   (1post)
Fellowship:      Rs. 8,000/- pm (consolidated) 
Qualification: Graduate in any branch of Science
     Desirable :    Experience in the field of Wood preservation; data entry; field survey.
                      (Candidates should possess 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall GPA.)
Terms & Conditions:
1.       Registration will be closed at 11.30 am
2.       Age limit (as on 16.10.2012) : Below 35 years for men and 40 years for women. 
3.       Age relaxation of 3 year for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates is permissible.
4.       Candidate must be willing to travel widely.
5.       Candidates are required to submit attested copies of all the Certificates in support of their claims regarding age, educational qualifications, scheduled caste/scheduled tribe/OBC etc. The original certificates shall be produced for verification before the interview.
6.       Candidates should bring detailed bio-data affixing a recent passport size photograph.
7.       The selected candidate will be recruited on contract basis under ICAR norms. The post is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the project.
8.       The candidates attending the interview should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions. No correspondence will be entertained from the candidates for selection/test/appointment. Canvassing in any form will render the candidate disqualified for the post.
9.       No TA/DA will pay to attend the interview.

11.    The Director’s decision will be final and binding in all aspects regarding the selection to the post.
